What to expect

Scheduling
Once we receive and review your completed pre-visit questionnaire, a member of our team will contact you to schedule your appointment.
Acupuncture appointments are provided by Dr. Voss and are scheduled based on her availability, typically Tuesday through Friday.

Initial Appointment
Your first acupuncture appointment will last approximately 45 minutes. During this visit, we’ll review your completed intake form, develop a treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs, and begin their first acupuncture treatment.
You’ll stay with your pet throughout the appointment to help them feel comfortable and secure. Your pet can lie down or stand as they prefer, but we ask that they remain in one place rather than walk around. Having their favorite person nearby can be a helpful distraction and make the experience more relaxing!

Follow-up Treatments
After the initial consultation appointment we will start a series of 6 therapeutic appointments, each lasting approximately 20 - 30 minutes. These appointments will include a brief exam and a discussion on your pet's progress. Frequency of appointments depends on your pet's response to their acupuncture treatment; initially weekly, but then often bi-monthly.
